Contract Specialist – Healthcare Technology (Remote, 1099)
Location: US-Based (Pacific Time Zone Preferred)
Employment Type: Part-Time, 1099 Independent Contractor

About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to join our growing technology consulting practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative healthcare tech companies, helping them navigate complex contracting processes while building scalable contract infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Development & Management
- Draft and refine Statements of Work (SOWs) for Professional Services engagements
- Prepare initial license and service agreements tailored to healthcare technology solutions
- Review and analyze vendor agreements from third-party providers
- Develop contract language alternatives and strategic negotiation positions
- Create and maintain contracting playbooks and standardized processes
Project Management & Client Support
- Track and manage prospects through the contracting pipeline
- Monitor open contract negotiations and maintain issue logs
- Coordinate contract review cycles and stakeholder communications
- Ensure timely progression of deals through legal and procurement processes
Strategic Infrastructure Development
- Build repeatable contract templates and clause libraries
- Develop best practices documentation and training materials
- Create process workflows that scale with client growth
- Contribute to the evolution of our contracting methodology
Business Development & Growth
- Identify opportunities to expand Intellect Health’s service offerings
- Support client relationship development and retention initiatives
- Contribute to proposal development and new client presentations
- Participate in industry networking and thought leadership activities
- Help identify potential strategic partnerships and referral opportunities
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in healthcare technology contracting
- Proven track record with software licensing and service agreements
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, etc.)
- Experience with both vendor-side and customer-side contract negotiations
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality control processes
- Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication

- Background with SaaS and healthcare data platforms
- Familiarity with enterprise sales cycles and procurement processes
- Experience building contract management systems or using CLM platforms
- Previous consulting or client services experience
- Committed to 1099 consulting work and not actively seeking full-time employment
